Baby Blessing

Miss Madalyn Becky Smith will be blessed this Sunday, February 24 at 2:20 pm by her father Kevin. (Yes, we know it isn't fast Sunday but that is when the most people could be there). Of course, there is another storm scheduled to come in - I hope it is a small one. If you decide you can come, call and we will get the address of the ward building. We would love to have a big group - dinner will be served at Jeff and Renee's afterwards.

Winter time at the Smith's

This shows a bit about how much snow we got in January. I think there was a total of two days that we didn't get at least a little snow!! We had over 25 inches in our yard. Jeff is trying to drive the snowmobile into the back of the truck by mashing down the snow and making a ramp. It was hilarious to watch - but it did finally work.
These are just pictures of our babies at home now. Since the kids are mostly gone - even Ali is gone most of the time - we get our kicks from the animals. Silly cat will get into ANY bag you leave laying around and then the dog has to check it out. They keep us amused.

CRUISIN 2008

Jeff and Renee had the great opportunity to go on a cruise last week. We left out of Ft. Lauderdale and stopped in San Juan, Puerto Rico; St. Thomas; Dominican Republic and Labadee, Haiti. One of the best parts was the zip line we did on Labadee. It is the longest zip line over water in the world - it dropped more than 2,000 feet!!! And I did it!!! It was a lot of fun!
The pictures above show us on one of the formal nights, in Puerto Rico (that is the Old Fort in the picture behind Renee) and dancing with the natives in the Dominican Republic (That was a lot of fun). The best part though, was just spending time together. We have a lot of fun and it is always great to get away and remember why we love each other so much!!!

Baby Blessing Moved to March!!!

Well, big happenings in the Smith family. Kevin was ordained an elder on Jan 27!!! Yeah, we are so proud of him. It was really great to have Wendy and her family (at least the ones at home) come up for the special occasion. We were going to have Miss Madi's blessing this Sunday but weather prevented it!! Not only could most of our out of town families not make it through the snow (we had between 9 and 18 inches depending on where they were - but some of the wards even cancelled their meetings. That almost never happens. It is all good though, we will be doing the blessing on March 2 (I think that date is right) and that will give Kevin more time to be prepared. Ha ha. Love to all of you.
