We did a lot while Steve was home but it sure did go fast!!! We had Mom & Dad Smith's 50th Wedding anniversary with the whole family (except Becky who was 8 3/4 months pregnant). Then Steve & Britt went to Las Vegas for a few days with friends while Ian stayed with us. Miss Madi made her appearance just a few days later and everyone made it here to welcome her. Next Jeff and Steve went back to Las Vegas to route on the BYU Cougars at the Las Vegas Bowl. Everyone came back on Christmas eve and Christmas morning. It was so much fun to see everyone get along and have a good time. We played lots of games, watched Christmas movies and went out on the four wheelers to clear the 6 inches of snow off the driveway and sidewalks. They had so much fun doing that they decided to do some neighbors as well!!! Christmas day we all split up to see the out laws and have their own Christmas but then we all met up at Grandma & Grandpa Smith's in Pleasant Grove to visit with them and Uncle Greg and Great-Grandma Smith (93 years old).
On Saturday, everyone returned to Logan and all of the kids went snowboarding and then rushed back to get ready for family pictures, dinner and then back to our house for more games and stuff. Jeff and I babysat Ian for New Year's Eve while the couples all did their own thing and then almost everyone was back here on New Year's day to eat, watch football, eat some more and play more games.

Steve had to leave on Thursday about 12:55 so we drove down and Jeff and I got special passes to go to the gate with him until he boarded the plane. It was really a great visit for everyone (other than my waistline - I think I gained another 10 lbs over Christmas in trying to make all their favorites!! We miss Steve but are very proud of him.
Ian wanted to know why he couldn't just ride in Daddy's suitcase on the way to Germany!!! Good thing he didn't - Steve's luggage got lost somewhere between SLC, Chicago, Paris and Frankfurt. Hopefully it will turn up soon.
